My name is Jesse Valdez-Personeni and I hail from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains where I was lucky enough to be born into California's rich bluegrass scene. Growing up music and bluegrass festivals were a way of life as my mother and grandparents played in numerous bands as well as had their own. I started singing and playing guitar at festivals and preforming on stage when I was 9, through the festivals and Kids On Bluegrass/Stage I met many other awesome and great musicians and was lucky enough to play with some wonderful people. Since then I've had the fortune to share the stage and studio with numerous regional and national artists including Aj Lee, Keith Little, Jeff Scroggins, Dale Reno, Jimmy Baughman, Bobby Black, Mark Stuart, Geoffrey Miller, Jeff Wiser, Hunter Berry, Ed Neff, Jessica Malone, and Hattie Craven to name a few. Currently I reside in Fiddletown but travel all over the Sacramento Bay-Area and beyond. I'm always looking to fill more dates and handle leads, if you or anyone you know needs a musician, full band, or teacher don't hesitate to reach out today.
I gig mainly on lap steel, pedal steel, 5 string banjo, guitar, mandolin, vocals, and bass. Session work available remotely as well.
